Plan:
- global warming and how its affecting animals
- i'm using a arctic animals as the main topic
- i'm thinking i'm going to have polar bears/ types of penguins that are endangered on a pieces of ice thats pretty small and something hot all around them
- possibly ads about global warming and fire
- infographics about how much the ice has melted
- if I do the ads I will add a red tint to them to show others that ints indicating warm
- i'm going to be using contrast for my technique
- with the red background and blue arctic animals in the center the red and blue tints will make the pieces stand out more from each other
- hot vs. cold
I used one thematic technique in my project, that being recognize the familiar. There are some poster that easily identified the most common being "There is no planet B." There are a bunch of different images that I cut out different things from to create my project. The background uses two different wildfire pictures, the polar bears came from two different pictures the one standing came from a different picture than the ones that were in a zoo playing down. All the signs came from protest pictures but none from the same picture. The two smoke clouds and buildings came from two separate pictures as well. The view I am trying to communicate to the audience is global warming. I was hoping that it was clearly displayed by the red/orange colors in the backgrounds to represent warmth, while the polar bears on the one piece of ice showed that their ice was melting. I also put the polar bears laying down to show that they are slowing dying off. They are part of the endangered animals, which is why I picked them fro this project. I used different tools for this project, the most common being the quick selection tool. I used that to select all my photos and then I used the minus version to take away things that I didn't want selected. I also used the select and mask. This helped to get right up to the edge of my objects, but I was also able to use that to refine hair, on the polar bears.
